Spend some time reflecting on each of these. This way you will have a better chance of controlling them and work out how they can help, or hinder your leadership.

Ways you can do this:
•      Ask those close to you for their views
•      Do some type of a psychometric or strengths assessment (such as MBTI or Clifton Strengths)
•      Debrief after a meeting
•      Get an executive coach
•      Plan some time to self-reflect, thinking particularly about your triggers
•      Assess how you normally respond to a trigger

We covet comfort and avoid conflict. Adaptive challenges are all about learning and learning isn’t easy. With change, people may see they are losing something and how you act is critical. If you can hold steady amid uncertainty and conflict, you’ll be more prepared.
Some tips to deal with uncertainty and conflict
–      When something is on your mind, say it
–      Resist being the peacekeeper
–      Come to people’s defense only as a conscious choice
–      If you’re taking something personally, get on the balcony
