With qualifications in Logistics and Business Management and a background working within the company during her university years, she was navigating the complexities of early leadership, managing stress, delegation, and the dynamics of working within a family business.
Keen to grow in confidence and leadership capability, the mentee balanced professional ambitions with personal milestones.
Our Approach
Beacon Consult deployed our Emerging Leader Mentoring Program, a structured four-phase framework designed to foster professional growth, enhance leadership skills, and support career progression through targeted coaching sessions and strategic networking opportunities.
From the outset, we focused on understanding her leadership challenges, career aspirations, and personal goals. Our approach combined structured mentoring sessions, EQ self-assessments, workplace learning, and introductions to experienced professionals balancing similar work-life demands.

What We Delivered
Phase One – Goal Setting & Action Planning:
Over two months, we helped the mentee clarify her leadership objectives around sustainable workload management, effective delegation, and personal confidence. Together, we developed a SMART action plan that introduced emotional regulation tools, techniques for inner agility, and defined success metrics.
Phase Two – Leadership Development:
Through structured sessions, we focused on shifting management style from micromanagement to empowerment-based leadership. EQ self-assessment insights were applied, leading to improved emotional awareness, reduced stress, and greater delegation capability. The mentee reported significant improvements in job satisfaction and work-life balance.
Phase Three – Mid-Program Networking:

Phase Four – Evaluation and Next Steps
Currently, the mentee is embedding the skills gained, with the program scheduled to resume after a period of self-application, ensuring lasting behaviour change. At which point we will evaluate whether all goals have been met or if further sessions would be beneficial and provide future recommendations.
